Live At Cafe Oto, 11.12.18

Langham Research Centre and Howlround present an evening of music inspired by tape and classic musique concrète processes.Hot on the heels of performances in Japan with Jim O’Rourke and Kassel Jaeger, LRC return with new electronic works created using obsolete technology. Howlround’s performances see natural acoustic sounds manipulated live on reel-to-reel tape, with effects strictly forbidden.

Delighted to be performing at Cafe Oto alongside the mighty Langham Research Centre. Both groups will perform a standalone set and we’ll also be collaborating for the first time ever with a performance of John Cage’s 1955 work ‘Speech’, for 5 radios and a newsreader. Tickets and further details here.

Must also put in a quick word for the group’s Tape Works vol. 1, which is one of my very favourite LPs of the last 12 months.
